The Romanian born artist Katherine Arion painted a two thousand square feet painting for The Metropolitan Transportation Authority in 1996,called Hora,a well known dance in both romanian and jewish culture, which celebrates the brotherhood between human beings.  She showed her art for the first time at a conference honoring the UNICEF Congress Conference and in a solo show at “Romanian Student Museum.”  Following her graduation from the academy of Fine Arts, Nicolae Grigorescu, she exhibited at    Galateea  Gallery in Bucharest, Romania.  Her work was added to the Heritage Collection of the Romanian National Museum of Art.  Ms. Arion participated in shows at Gilart and Tel Aviv Gallery in Israel and the Gallery Arco, in Rome.  The artist has exhibited in the following major galleries in Paris: Charpentier Gallery, which has represented such artists as Chagall and Dali; Editions De L Ermitage  Gallery, La Nouvelle Gravure, Salon Permanent , the Gallery of the Hilton Hotel in Paris and the Romanian Embassy.  While in Paris Katherine Arion was accredited by the famous publisher, Mr. Jaques Mourlot.  Mourlot Publishing House has printed works by such artists as Picasso and Chagall.  Her technique on gold foil is unique.  The style is semi-abstract, colors are like jewels.  She has successfully exhibited her work in the Los Angeles Country Museum of Art.  Katherine Arion is inspired by the beauty of youth and the bond of harmony and tolerance between people  creating both a controversial and powerful art.
